Welcome to the Catholic Group

Be servants to one another in love Galatians 15.14

Welcome to the website of the Catholic Group in General Synod.

We are all members of the General Synod of the Church of England, a Church which is both Catholic and reformed;  we witness to the Catholic nature of our Church.

At the Reformation, the Church of England was shaped and guided by the faith and order of the undivided Church.  We believe, with S. Vincent of Lerins, that 'in the Catholic Church itself, all possible care must be taken, that we hold that faith which has been believed everywhere, always, by all.'

We are committed to witnessing to the universal faith and order of the Church, and to seeking the reunion of all Christian people.

One Church, one Faith, one Lord.
